Today rylan asked me to paint his crackers with almond butter.

He has been saying eeder aka either after most everything - ex: No it doesn't eeder

nana told me that he was playing with his spaghetti noodles and held 2 up to eachother and made them have a conversation. The longer one was mama and the shorter one baby.

Nana told him that I was going to Whidbey Island for work and when he talked to me on the phone while I was there he asked if I had a job to do on the island of sodor :)

Rylan is sooooo into trains. He talks about them nonstop! He watches Thomas the Train and knows all the words and all the train's names. He pronounces most words very clearly now but can't seem to get the sound right for saying Percy (Thomas' best friend train) it sounds like a different inappropriate 5 letter word. He is always saying things like "Thomas' best friend p***y" or " I need p***y!" or "Where is p***y?!" I am constantly correcting him in public because everyone turns around to look at who this child's horrible mother is! He also see's train tracks wherever we go. He even turned a vacuum cord into a track. And he has to bring all of his train cars with him everywhere. He sleeps with them and even mutters things about trains in his sleep.

Today he randomly said "Mama I need a Christmas Tree with presents" I started laughing hysterically because it was so cute and unexpected and his face was so serious and he said, " quiet Mama, quiet! I need this!"

Although he has temper tantrums he is still amazingly well behaved. Yesterday I took him to target for a few hours. he stuck by me and then climbed into the cart with some pillows and fell asleep. And woke up cheerful and read to help me find a new broom!

He is very attached to my Dad lately. He always wants to see Grandpapapa. He likes his truck and wants to make pizza with him. Grandpapapa is better at helping him put on his shoes or jacket or sharing his healthy food. Grandpapapa was actually able to get him to eat some plain raw broccoli and lettuce.

He talks about his friends Crystal, Isabelle, Jacob & Juliette all the time. He is good at making new friends and sharing. When he was younger other kids would bully him but he holds his own now without bullying.

We stayed with Grandpa and Grandma Jarvis for a 3 day weekend and he talked about Grandpa Jarvis for days after. He really thought he was cool!

He associates some letters with words. Like he says v for van or t for train and sounds out the letters.

He sits with books and pretends to read them.

Today we walked to the Starbucks close to our house and got a breakfast wrap. There was a baby there and Rylan picked up on the higher excited pitch people talk to babies in and imitated it exactly right. The baby absolutely loved him!

He wants to "try" to do things by himself alot nowadays. He puts the keys in the car door and get's into the car himself and buckles one of the buckles on his seat all by himself.

He can sing the alphabet almost completely and knows all his letters.

he always says Thank you but is and has been very stubborn about saying please for quite some time. He only says it when it is his idea!
